This is a hands on class where you will take part in the brewing, as well as some tasting and you will take home your own Kefir Grains to begin the process for yourself.
If you think kombucha is tasty and you enjoy the health benefits it brings then you need to try kefir soda. I have loved making water kefir for the past 4 years. I started out with milk kefir, but soon discovered I couldn’t drink enough of it to keep up. That’s when I discovered water kefir. This has made my homemade soda world happier 🙂
There are flavors you can’t make with kombucha, sodas such as rootbeer, cream soda or cherry. With kefir you can make any flavor you want and all you taste is the flavor you add. And kefir offers a quick turnaround. There is no 2-3 week wait time. It is ready the next day and your second brew is ready within 4 days.
We will be focusing on two flavors for this class. The first will be grape soda and the second will be the healthiest root beer you’ve ever had (not to mention rather tasty to boot).
You don’t need to bring anything to this class. I will send you home with all you need: a recipe, kefir grains and a jar to contain it all. I will assume you have water and some sort of sugar at home.
